Lady in green

This past few days have been all about enjoying my vacation and going out with my friends to eat japanese food, go to Outback with best friend, to restaurants with other friends ( yeep, I love going out to eat hahah I think that eating good food is one of the pleasures of life ! ), going to the movies, to parks, to the mall, having a sleep over at my house, things like that you know. And I don’t know, sometimes I think I’m too eletric, everyday I wake up and start thinking what I’m going to do, I always feel like I need to go out and see people hahah Do you guys also feel like this when you are on vacation?
And the weirdest thing is that we were supposed to be in the colddest winter days and I was able to wear skirts without tights and no sleeves covering my arms.The bad part was the pouring rain that kept coming and going all day long and  made it hard to take this outfit pics.

 

Esses últimos dias tem sido tudo sobre aproveitar minhas férias e sair com amigos pra comer comida japonesa, ir no Outback com a minha melhor amiga, para restaurantes com outros amigos ( siim, eu adoro sair pra comer hahah Eu acho que comer comidas deliciosas são um dos prazeres da vida!), ir ao cinema , parques,  ao shopping , e ter um sleep over na minha casa, coisas assim sabe. E eu não sei, mas às vezes eu me acho muito elétrica, acordo todos os dias pensando o que eu vou fazer, eu sempre sinto que eu preciso sair e ver gente hahah Vocês também se sentem assim quando estão de férias?
E a coisa mais estranha é que nós deveríamos estar nos dias mais frios de inverno e eu consegui sair de saias sem meias e sem mangas para cobrir os meus braços. A parte ruim foi a chuva  que vinha e parava o dia todo e fez ser difícil de tirar fotos do look.

 

A hint of navy

Navy is probably one of the styles that never die, whenever happens a fashion week you can see an inspiration on the nautical universe, it can be on the swimwear collection or on the ready-to-wear fashion shows. The characteristcs attached to this style are the strings, gold studs, stripes and colours like white, red and navy blue.
I can’t say this outfit of mine can totally be framed in this field, but you can see a hint of navy just by looking at that oversized coat and as I like to play a lot with colours, I decided that this time blue would be the one this time, so I added it in different shades on different pieces of clothing.And as  “extras” make a remarkable distinction, I put a scarf ( really,imagine the outfit without this… it would be nothing) and just a big earring, nothing else sparkaling cuz the studs in the shorts already called a lot of attention.

O estilo navy é um daqueles que nunca morrem, sempre que acontece uma Fashion week você pode ver uma inspiração no universo náutico,  pode ser na coleção de roupas de banho ou mesmo nos desfiles ready-to-wear. As características relacionadas à esse estilo são as correntes, botões dourados, listras e cores como branco, vermelho e azul-marinho.
Eu não posso dizer que meu look se encaixa totalmente nesse padrão, mas você pode ver uma pitada de navy apenas pelo casaco oversized e como eu gosto de brincar muito com cores, eu decidi que o azul seria a da vez, então eu a adicionei em tons diferentes em diversas peças. E como os “extras” fazem uma diferença muito grande, adicionei um lenço ( sério, imaginem o look sem o lenço,seria tipo … um nada) e só um brinco grande, nada mais brilhando porque as tachinhas do shorts já chamavam muita atenção

Casually classic

Casual and classic. These are the two words that come to my mind when I look at this outfit, the classic part is because of the white and black that are the main colours of it and also because of the shoes I’m wearing.For me, there is nothing more classic than oxfords, and when it is a bushed calf leather this aspect is even more emphasized.
And what about the casual part? I always think that an outfit is casual when it is effortless to put all the pieces together and it brings you comfort . Well, I find wearing a skirt with tights the easiest thing in the world and the shoes are flats, so, immediate comfort. But let’s reveal something: those shoes are not mine, I took them borrowed from my cousin hihi And I’m totally in love with them!!

Casual e classic. Essas são as duas palavras que me vem a mente quando eu olho esse look, a parte clássica é por causa do preto e branco que são as cores principais do look e também por causa dos sapatos que estou usando. Pra mim, não há nada mais clássico do que oxfords, e quando eles são envernizados , esse aspecto é ainda mais enfatizado.
E sobre a parte casual? Eu sempre acho que uma roupa é casual, quando é fácil de colocar todas as peças juntas,  e o look todo te traz conforto. Bom, eu acho que usar saia com meias é a coisa mais fácil do mundo e os sapatos são sem salto, então, conforto imediato. Mas vamos revelar algo: esses sapatos não são meus, peguei emprestado da minha prima hihi Estou apaixonada por eles, isso sim!!

Embroidered white coat

This coat is so fabulous, isn’t it? I bought it on a sale, last February when it was still summer,  so it was on a perfect timing to save it to the winter days. I love the fact that it is white, which recently I’ve been finding it a really sophisticated colour ( specially when it’s a total white outfit), and also the embroidered details, that make it so unique. I wore it already a thousand time this past few days, putting it over a simple outfit, like jeans matched with a t-shirt to this one more chic, in which I’m mixing a floral skirt with a green top.
I wore it to go to best friend’s house and I have to tell one thing, it is impressive the amount of junk food we eat when we get together, we always gossip, gossip, gossip and eat, eat, eat, everythig in the same proportion hahah Something not so fashionable to tell, but let’s face it:  it’s true! I think that a lot of people worry about weight and stuff ( me so included on that),but once in a while it’s allowed to do these things, specially when you are in good company.You just have try in the other days to balance it with some healthy food (at least it is what I’m trying – emphasis on trying- to do hahah)

Esse casaco é tudo, não é? Eu o comprei em uma promoção, em fevereiro enquanto ainda era verão, então foi em um tempo perfeito pra guardar pros dias de inverno.Adoro o fato de ele ser branco,  a qual, ultimamente eu tenho achado uma cor tão sofisticada ( especialmente quando fazem um look total branco), e também os detalhes bordados que o fazem tão único. Eu o usei um milhão de vezes nos últimos dias, colocando ele por cima de um look simples, tipo jeans combinados com uma t-shirt até esse mais chic, no qual eu estou usando uma saia de florzinhas com uma blusa verde.
Eu usei esse look pra ir na casa da minha melhor amiga e eu preciso dizer uma coisa… é impressionante o tanto de besteiras que a gente come quando está juntas, a gente sempre fofoca,fofoca,fofoca e come,come,come, tudo na mesma proporção hahah Algo nada “fashion” de dizer, mas vamos encarar: é a verdade! Eu acho que muita gente se preocupa com o peso e essas coisas ( eu incluídissima nisso) , mas uma vez ou outra é permitido fazer essas coisas, especialmente em boa companhia. Você só tem que tentar balancear nos outros dias com uma comida mais saudável ( pelo menos é o que eu estou tentando – ênfase no tentando- fazer hahah).

It’s about freedom

Feeling the sun on my face, the refreshing breeze going through my hair and being surrounded by nature, that is exactly how I spend my last Saturday, in a park with my cousin.We went to go for a walk with her very cute dog, Wendy, sadly I couldn’t take Amelie with us ( she would have barked to everybody, I’m sure of that… she loves to draw people’s attetion!hahah) , but we ended up running with her in the grass like little kids, such a good thing to do!After that we rode bicycles for a while, one very failed thing that we chose to do… I almost fell a thousand times hahaha And they say that riding a bicycle is something you never forget!
One thing I simply love is this freedom feeling that you get when you go to a place like this, the hour passes by and you forget about it, you forget about everything else that is happening in the world.It is kind of poethic!This freedom feeling is even bigger, now that my vacations officially started, I mean, even for the less worried with the college stuff, everybody gets into a different vibe , in which you feel like you have no schedules,in which you can do whatever you want to, whenever you want to. And I hope this 1 month of vacations continues like this, having fun with the people I love !

Sentindo o sol no meu rosto, a brisa refrescante passando pelos meus cabelos e estar envolvida pela natureza, é exatamente assim que eu passei o meu último sábado, em um parque com a minha prima. Nós fomos para  para dar uma volta com a cachorrinha fofa dela, Wendy, infelizmente eu não pude levar a minha ( que teria ficado latindo pra todo mundo, tenho certeza, ela adora chamar a atenção sabe!hahah) e nós acabamos  correndo pela grama que nem crianças, uma coisa muito gostosa de se fazer! Depois disso, andamos de bicicleta por um tempo, uma coisa meio falha que escolhemos fazer… quase cai um milhão de vezes hahah E olha que dizem que andar de bicicleta é uma coisa que nunca se esquece!
Uma coisa que eu adoro é a liberdade que você sente quando vai em um lugar assim, a hora passa e você se esquece de tudo,  se esquece do que está acontecendo no mundo. É meio poético!Esse sentimento de liberdade está ainda maior, agora que eu estou de férias oficialmente, digo, até pro mais despreocupado com as coisas da faculdade, todos ficam com uma vibe diferente, meio largados, em que você sente que não tem programação, na qual você pode fazer o que quiser, quando quiser. E espero que esse 1 mês de férias que eu tenho continue assim, me divertindo com as pessoas que eu amo!

Holiday’s confessions

I think that almost all of us here or are already on vacations or they are really close! This last one is my case, I have classes just this Thursday and then it is the end: my days will be free for me to do whatever I want hahah And I don’t know if this happens to you, but every holiday  I have, I become addicted to a tv show, in January was for The Client List and now I already know the next one: Game of Thrones. My sister had been talking for so long, for me to watch it that it was great and I always said: okay, Bru, I’ll watch it later. But last Friday we sat together  and started to watch the first episode… done, I’m addicted to this serie. Really, it’s amazing, it’s not a lie, and the worst of all is that the end of every episode, happens something that let’s your gaping and anxious to watch the next one. I’m almost in that level of watching one episode after the other hahah
And there is nothing better than watch movies accompanied by popcorn, soda and a warm cover in this cold and rainy days of July, otherwise the solution when you go out, is always putting a coat over your clothing! But as I always like to give a touch of colour, just to cheer up this gray days, bellow it I wore this yellow dress, that I already showed you here on the blog, but in a summer outfit.

Acho que quase todo mundo aqui ou já está de férias ou elas estão batendo na porta! Esse último é o meu caso, tenho aula só nessa quinta e fim: dias livres para eu fazer o que quiser hahah  E eu não sei se acontece isso com vocês, mas à cada período de férias que eu tenho vou ficando viciada em uma série de tv, em janeiro foi por The Client List e agora já sei qual vai ser a próxima: Game of Thrones .Minha irmã estava à muito tempo falando, falando e falando pra eu assistir que era muito boa e tal, mas eu sempre ficava tipo: ai Bru depois eu vejo.Só que  na sexta passada a gente pegou e começou a assistir o primeiro episódio juntas… pronto fiquei viciada. Sério, é muito boa de verdade, não é mentira, e o pior de tudo é que a cena final de cada episódio te deixa boquiaberta e anciosa pra ver o próximo.Já estou quase no nível de ver um após o outro hahah
E nada melhor do que ficar vendo filminhos acompanhados de pipoca, refrigerante e um cobertor bem quentinho nesse frio e chuva que tem feito esses dias, senão para sair de casa a solução sempre é: casaco por cima da roupa ! Mas como eu gosto sempre de dar um toque de cor pra animar um pouco esses dias cinzentos, por baixo coloquei o vestidinho amarelo que eu já mostrei pra vocês aqui no blog, mas com um look de verão.

Plaid flanel top

One thing I realized is that the less you sleep, the more active you feel, or maybe this is just because of the amount of coffee I drank to feel awaken hahaha I mean, yesterday, I slept for only 3 hours or less, had to get up early and in a hurry to visit an advertising agency with my friends, which by the way was pretty amazing and made me feel more excited, knowing that  I chose the right career cuz that place felt like home! After the whole toure, as the agency was close to a park that I love to go to, Ibirapuera, me and my friends took the chance to go for a walk there and enjoy the surprisingly warm breeze and the sun ( surprisingly because it is supposed to be almost winter here). Then when I got home I didn’t stop for a second, doing things here and there, and even managed  to study a little bit.Of course that  if I sat in the couch for more than 5 minutes, my eyes would start to blink and the tiredness would take my body, and I would take a nap that would last for the rest of the day, but I resisted to that hahah
As I said I woke up in a hurry and in this kind of situations, we don’t have a lot of time to think, so I went for the piece of clothing, that I think it is so easy to wear and goes well with everything : a plaid flanel shirt! Such a basic garment, don’t you think so?

Uma coisa que eu percebi que quanto menos você dorme, mais ativa você se sente, ou isso foi só por causa da quantidade de café que eu tomei para ficar acordada hahah Digo, ontem , eu dormi por 3 horas ou menos, e tive que acordar cedo e na correria para visitar uma agência de propaganda com os meus amigos, o que à propósito foi muito legal e fez eu me sentir mais animada, ao saber que eu escolhi a carreira certa, porque parecia que eu pertencia àquele lugar! Depois de toda a visita, como a agência era perto de um parque eu que eu adoro ir, o Ibirapuera, nós aproveitamos a chance para dar uma volta lá e aproveitar a surpreendente brisa quente e o sol. E então quando eu cheguei em casa não parei por um segundo, fazendo coisas aqui e lá, e ainda consegui para estudar um pouco. É claro que se eu tivesse sentado no sofá por mais de 5 minutos, meus olhos começariam a piscar e o cansaço tomaria meu corpo e eu dormiria o resto do dia, mas eu resisti à isso hahah
Como eu disse eu acordei na pressa e nesse tipo de situação nós não temos muito tempo de pensar, então eu resolvi usar uma peça de roupa, que é tão fácil de vestir e que vai bem com tudo: a camisa xadrez! Tão básica, não acham?

Dog days are over

This past couple of days have been kind of rough with final exams on college, some works I had to deal with and still have to, end of semester things… arghh! But these days are coming to an end, next week I’ll finally be free and my vacations will officially start yeah yeah  hahah
Besides all of this, I couldn’t avoid of some moments of joy of course, like going to the movies to watch The Great Gatsby, which by the way is amazing, from the costumes that the characters wear to the plot, totally recommended! As well, as going to a concert and yesterday I met some friends from my old school, it’s been a long time since I saw them  for the last time and it was great to get together again, missed them so much 🙂
For the occasion I went with  this white dress with a cardigan and flats, totally casual and in a Sunday mood hahah

 

Esses últimos dias tem sido meio difíceis com as provas finais na faculdade, alguns trabalho que eu tive que lidar com e ainda tenho,  coisas de fim de semestre… argh! Mas esses dias estão chegando ao fim, semana que vem finalmente estarei livre e minhas férias irão oficialmente começar yeah yeah hahah
Apesar de tudo isso, eu não pude evitar de ter alguns momentos para aproveitar é claro, tipo indo ao cinema assistir O Grande Gatsby, o qual por falar nele é incrível, desde  as roupas usadas pelos personagens até o enredo, totalmente recomendado! També, fui à um show e ontem encontrei alguns amigos da minha antiga escola, faz muito tempo que eu não os vejo e foi muito bom se juntar de novo,  estava com muita saudade 🙂
Para a ocasião eu fui com esse vestido branco, cardigã e sapatilhas, totalmente casual e numa vibe de domingo hahah

Hats and more hats

This week I’ve been in love with acessories for the head, such as hadbands, beanies and also hats, which can make a huge difference in the outfit. They were a remarkable accessory in Saint Lauren summer 2013  fashion show, when Hedi Slimane first launched in this brand and as the one in the picture above, he turned this felter big hat in a desirable object. It was worn by Gwen Stefani on the american Vogue cover, with a set of tailoring, giving it a sophisticated touch. Since the moment I saw this pic, I fell in love with hats and I here goes a lot of pics I found to use as an inspiration for an outfit!

 

Essa semana eu venho meio apaixonada com acessórios pra cabeça, como tiarinhas, touquinhas e agora é a vez dos chapéus, os quais fazem uma grande diferença no visual. Eles foram uma peça marcante no desfile da Saint Laurent no verão 2013, quando o Hedi Slimane debutou na marca e como o da imagem acima, eles transformou esse chapelão preto de feltro em um objeto desejável. Ele  foi usado pela Gwen Stefani na capa da Vogue americana, com um conjunto de alfairataria, dando um ar mais sofisticado. Desde  que eu vi essa foto me apaixonei por chapéus e aqui vai várias fotos que eu achei para usar de inspiração pra montar um look!

Two trends in one outfit: black and white+ felt hat.This outfit is one of my favourite ones from all of those I saw with hats, lately I’ve been so in love with this black and white trend and it is a winter outfit, such an inspiration for this cold days that we are having here in Sao Paulo.And by the way,this hat is from H&M so it’s probably more affordable than the one from Saint Lauren, and they are so similiar,aren’t they?

Duas tendências em um só look: preto e branco + chapéu de feltro.Esse é um dos meus looks favoritos dos que eu vi com chapéu, ultimamente eu venho tão apaixonada com essa tendência de preto e branco, e ele ainda é um look de inverno, uma grande inspiração pra esses dias frios que estamos tendo em São Paulo.Álias,esse chapéu é da H&M então provavelmente é beeem mais acessível do que o da Saint Lauren, e eles ainda são muiito parecidos, não são?

 

 

A summer outfit and the same hat as the one before!I like the way this outfit is controversial , she mixes a winter garment, like the leather pants with some other summer ones, like the black tee and the sandals,and it is the leopard bag and the hat that make the outfit unique and more glamorous!

Um look de verão e o mesmo chapéu do anterior!Eu gosto de como ele é controverso, ela mistura uma peça de inverno, como a calça de couro com outras de verão, como a blusinha preta e as sandálias, e é a bolsa de oncinha e o chapéu que fazem o look unico e mais glamuroso!

Black hat, black clothes, but this big pink flower in the dress makes such a huge difference!

Chapéu preto, roupas pretas, mas essa flor grande rosa no vestido faz uma grande diferença!

Nesse look eu gostei de como ele é casual, com shorts, tricô, botinha de cano curto, nada que requer pensar demais e ainda assim lindo.Algo bem gostoso pra ir sair de dia , aproveitar com conforto e aí o chapéu dá aquele toque final, faz o look ficar ainda mais fofo.

In this outfit I liked how casual it is, with shorts, woolen, boots, nothing that makes you think a lot and even thought it is beautiful.A really good choice to go out during the day, enjoying it with confort and then the hat gives that final touch, making it look even more cute.

 

Also a big hat, but in another neutral colour: brown ! This colour in a hat usually adds a kind of boho attitude, but in this one we can’t see it, she looks more sophisticated, with this amazing top, paired with red shorts and tights ( hello winter days again!They transform tights into such a must in my everyday outfits hahah)

Também um chapelão, mas em outra cor neutra: marrom! Essa cor em um chapéu , normalemte adiciona uma atitude mais boho, mas nesse não conseguimos ver, ela está mais sofisticada com essa blusa incrível combinada com shorts vermelhos e meias ( olá dias de inverno de novo! Eles transformam meias em um must nos meus looks do dia a dia hahah)

Brown hats matched with mainly brown garments, tights and a fur accessory, are the things in common in this last 2 looks. Loved both of them, specially the vintage touch that the first one has and the handbag of the second one, isn’t it perfect?

Chapéus marroms combinados com outras peças em marrom, meias e um toque de pele, são o que há em comum nesses dois últimos looks. Amei os dois,  especialmente o ar vintage que o primeiro tem e a a bolsa do segundo, não é perfeita?

 

Match match, this is almost a monochromatic outfit, if it wasn’t for the fur coat! I love this burgundy  colour 🙂

The hat is in the same colour as in the last one, but the concept of the outfit is totally different! If you think a lot, each accessory  isn’t really matching with the other, analysing by the colours, but if see the outfit as whole, it looks so beautiful, this mixing is simply amazing!

 

O chapéu é da mesma cor que o anterior, mas o conceito do look é totalmente diferente! Se você pensar demais, cada acessório não está realmente combinando com o outro, analixando pelas cores, mas se olhar o look como um todo, ele  é lindo, a mistura é incrível!
